Unlike teacher or expert centered social-networks, the Personalized Learning Portal will be designed first and foremost to be learner-centered and student-friendly while allowing all stakeholders to contribute to a growing database of instructional modules.

The site will combine a robust search engine, a personalized learning aggregator for learning feeds, personalized graphic organizer for the hyperbolic display and management of learning links, authoring capabilities, and a user and expert rating system.

Cognitive learning specialists would initially produce a set of suggested learning pathways through a vast database of material and a battery of fun assessments to provide suggestions to learners on where to start and when to proceed on a learning progression.
