Wouldn’t it be great if there was a nap lounge at work. A quiet place to lie down for a 20 minute power nap. No cell phones, no laptops, no noise… just peace and quiet.

good idea…high time that it gets imbibed into the work culture here…will surely help revive productivity levels on a daily basis.

Here in the NY & NJ area, many of the larger companies have contemplation rooms (quiet rooms) which have dim lights, a sofa, magazine racks, and other tools one would use when they just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of work. So, since as early as 2000, many companies are recognizing the benefit of offering the convenience of a nap to their employees. Hopefully, this practice will reach your area real soon.

I take a nap no matter what at work. If anyone has an issue I show them this:

I remember a visit to Texas Instruments in the 1990s whee they had “quiet” rooms for private (pre-cell phone) calls and naps. Like a big phone booth with almost a psychiatrists couch
